Rainbow Apartments is a six-unit apartment complex located adjacent to Homme Home of Wittenberg in Wittenberg. A medical clinic, a grocery store, the post office, an eye clinic, the senior center and a chapel are located within one block of Rainbow Apartments. It is designed to meet the needs of those retired or semi-retired persons who can live actively and independently within a secure environment, but also desire the security of staff availability in the event of an emergency.

One and two bedroom units are available for couples or individuals. Each unit features:

Private front entrance
Parking
Private patio and flowerbox
Two hours of housekeeping per month
Separate, private lockable storage areas
24-hour emergency call system and staff assistance.

Carbonero and Wildwood Apartments

Carbonero and Wildwood apartments offer independent living for elderly and/or disabled persons who meet the US Department of Agriculture/Rural Development eligibility standards for low to moderate income.

Carbonero, an eight-unit building, is located on the Homme Home of Wittenberg campus in the Village of Wittenberg and is within one block of a medical clinic, a grocery store, the post office, an eye clinic, the senior center and a chapel. The fully carpeted one bedroom units are furnished with stove, refrigerator, garbage disposal, draperies and hot water heat.

Wildwood, an eight-unit complex located in beautiful rural Bowler, is near a grocery store, bank, and churches. The six one bedroom and two two bedroom units are fully carpeted and feature a stove, refrigerator, garbage disposal, draperies and electric heat.

Both Carbonero and Wildwood have a handicapped accessible apartment and offer a laundry room with a coin operated washer and dryer, central lobby and lounge, mail delivery to individual boxes inside the building, and a concrete patio.

Donald Wick Villa

A ten unit building, is located in the Village of Wittenberg.

Low Income Housing Assistance May Be Available Contact Apartment For Further Details.
There are HUD subsidized apartments at Donald Wick Villa. This means that Section 8 may be accepted and/or there are apartments that are income based (30% of adjusted gross income) apartments at Donald Wick Villa. You will need to call Donald Wick Villa to determine if any of these subsidized apartments are open and available.

Donald Wick Villa is a low income housing apartment subsidized by the federal governments HUD (Housing and Urban Development Division). Contact Donald Wick Villa for complete details on the current vacancies and housing applications.

Senior Assisted Living

Homme Residential-Wittenberg is a state licensed Class C, Community-Based Residential Facility. Qualified, dedicated staff are on duty 24-hours a day to provide a healthy, safe and secure environment that offers carefully selected services to meet your needs. These services include nutritionally balanced meals and snacks, medication and health monitoring, RN and social services availability, housekeeping and laundry services, assistance with bathing, and chaplaincy services, as well as leisure-time activities.

Homme Residential-Wittenberg offers several types of accommodations-spacious suites, and private rooms. The rural village setting allows residents easy access to shopping areas, a medical clinic, a drugstore, and an eye doctor in downtown Wittenberg.

Respite care is available for those needing only short-term care.

Residency Requirements

Must be over 55 and free of communicable diseases.
Physical exam and TB skin test.
Adequate financial resources to cover the monthly rate, as well as extra cost which may be incurred.
Must be alert and ambulatory, able to take independent action in case of an emergency.
Must possess basic self-care skills such as feeding and personal hygiene.

Nursing Home

The Homme Home of Wittenberg is proud to be able to offer a complete array of skilled nursing services to the public on our Wittenberg, Wisconsin Campus. Our continuum of care philosophy allows the development of specialized services to meet the ever changing needs of those we serve.

Utilizing state-of-the-art clinical and therapeutic practices, we develop a focused plan of care to meet the diverse needs of our clients, from acute medical care to short-term intensive rehabilitation. The Beverly Radun Rehabilitation Center focuses on the unique needs of short-term residents recovering from an accident or medical treatment with a focus on a speedy return to their home.

Homme Home of Wittenberg strives for quality and is a member of the Wisconsin Association of Homes and Services for the Aging. We actively participate in an independent alliance of skilled nursing facilities that aim for quality care as well as the sharing of best practices in long-term care. We use an interdisciplinary approach in caring for our residents with the constant focus on quality and services. We strive for excellence in staff education, employing highly skilled individuals that are dedicated to geriatrics and long-term care.

In addition to long and short-term medical services, the facility also focuses on the unique needs of residents suffering from Alzheimer’s and related Dementias.
